Gaming plans?

So, what are you playing now these days, and what are you looking forward to that will be released in the near future?

I'm not big on MMO's, but I'm waiting for The Old Republic, and I'm hoping to beta test 'Rift' (riftgame.com). My son brought to my attention a free game called Heroes in the Sky (his.gamescampus.com), if you like dog fighting, I think you will appreciate the game, my in-game name is Capt_Everhate.

Battlefield is coming out with a free online version (not Battlefield Heroes) that will resemble Battlefield 2, so I'm looking forward to that. Also looking forward to Battlefield 3. I do have and highly enjoy Bad Company 2.

So, again, what are your gaming plans?

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is my current obsession.

Also, as much as I despise MMOs The Secret World looks pretteh cool. My brother wants me to try Fallout and my best friend wants me to try Bioshock.

Can't wait for Deus Ex: Human Revolution!
And Dragon Age 2...

I'm playing Poker Night at the Inventory during my current social gaming hiatus. Once I get back to it, I'll be on Team Fortress 2.

I'm looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World. I wouldn't surprised if Ephie forced me to play Diablo 3, though...

Poker Night at the Inventory
- Dialog alone makes this game worth $5

TeamFortress2
- Hats. I don't have enough of them. Polycount broke the game. Valve hates us. The world is falling.

Assassins Creed (all of them)
- Brotherhood's Multiplayer made me want to finish the first two games.

For the Future:
Diablo 3
Guild Wars 2 (maybe)
The Old Republic


And I might get back into:
Black Ops & Bad Company 2
- I need CSS clones to waste time on.

You know, I want to get excited about this game but just can't. Nothing I've seen suggests that it is going to get right anything that made the original a masterpiece of gaming. I mean, it'll probably be a decent game if one ignores the link to the original DX, but it won't be a worthy sequel.

Don't shoot me, but I actually didn't mind the second one. It didn't have everything the first one did, and I think that's why everyone hated it. It wasn't Deus Ex.

Shit, I'd take any good shooter with solid online teamplay. Fuck gimmicks, fuck lazy game design, fuck grinding.

I know, right? And it's hard to think that only 2 years ago we were complaining that there were too many WW2 shooters.

I heard the story was the weakest part, and the weakest of the three. Have you played multiplayer yet? If they didn't take so long making a shitty port, I'd be down for it on PC.

All the Assassin's Creed games are pretty low on the story scale. And the whole "DNA holds memories" stuff was reallllllyyyyyy hard to accept.

Like even as a sci-fi geek; I still want some basis in reality.

To be honest though; the open-worldness that Assassin's Creed has is it's best part. And Brotherhood's multiplayer explores that well, as well as exploiting it pretty well.

i agree, i was annoyed at the way it was all percived as "its in your genes" - but damn i loved the open world play in all of them, nothing more fun that taking on a bunch of templars

Is everyone at still at least on TF2? We should get together tonight.
