My favourites are Watchmen and what I like to call The Punisher Bible, a hardback book of a few chapters of punishing goodness.

To be fair, though, I haven't read as many as I'd like (I have about five to ten coming in the next Amazon shipment).

The next ones are going to be:
    Old Man Logan
    Batman: Dark Knight Returns
    V for Vendetta

and all the Scott Pilgrim ones.

If you have not read Watchmen, though, DO IT!

I would if you gave it back. Grr

And I plan to steal yours. Like I've said - I won't read them online and I've never thought to buy them so yoinking them from you is my plan. Drunk

    ONLY AFTER I'VE READ THEM.
Also, I haven't given Watchmen back 'cause you've yet to ask for it! It's sitting on a huge pile of books, untouched.

Why won't you read them online? I had a backlog of Graphic Novels and Manga sitting on my other hard drive. Sad

    Watchmen
    Locke and Key
    The Walking Dead
    Marvel Zombies
    Preacher
    100 Bullets
    Y: The Last Man
    Joker

    Kick Ass

I still need to read Scott Pilgrim though. And buy the rest of the Walking Dead. And the new Locke and Key. By the way, Locke and Key is a fabulous graphic novel. Here's a short synopsis of issue one:

After the murder of their father, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke relocate with their mother to the family estate of Keyhouse, located in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. Sam Lesser, one of the teens who murdered Mr. Locke, is in a juvenile detention center and, by gazing in water, communicates with a supernatural force that promises to free him. Bode Locke, the youngest of the family, uncovers The Ghost Door, which separates his spirit from his body.

That sets up the rest of the issues to be fantastic. The writer is Joe Hill, or Joe Hill King, son of, you guessed it, Stephen King. His tale is scare and spooky and it fleshes out the characters very, very well. The art is done by the relatively unknown Gabriel Rodriguez, but if you've ever seen any of his art, it won't be unknown long. It's stylized and perfect for the story it's telling. If you need something to let you know, here's a tease of his style and presentation:

    Spoiler:
    Yes. He's pretty fuckin' good.

No, Red, make a separate megathread for mangas.

And I don't read them online because the glare of the screen gives me headaches if I try to read too much in one go. Comics don't make it too much easier with their images so generally, a hard copy is preferred.

The Dark Knight Returns - Frank Miller's work, none of the rest
    The Walking Dead
    V for Vendetta
    Y: The Last Man
    Kick Ass
    Scott Pilgrim
    The Watchmen
    The Amory Wars
    Good Apollo

There's probably one or two more that could come to mind but I'd have to think.
