    Count me in!

    Name: Koblentz
    Character Name: Fabian Horvathy
    Occupation: Detective
    Nationality: Hungarian

    Brief Character History:
Detective Fabian Horvathy has spent years searching for clues that could help solve the murders under mysterious circumstances of several Hungarian nobles during World War I. His quest for answers has been full of dead ends and wild goose chases, wearing down his objectivity and chipping away at his confidence. Once upon a time, Horvathy was one of the most respected detectives in the Gendarmarie, but now he has been seemingly banished by his superiors to New England to pursue yet more cold leads there. The insult has given him a chip on his shoulder and a healthy sense of misanthropy, but has strengthened his resolve to find the truth.

Horvathy questions a Hungarian-American labor organizer.

Horvathy now haunts the Hungarian immigrant community in New York City, acting on the long-held suspicion that the perps must be hiding out there. Why else would his superiors send him here if not to hunt down the Communists that killed those nobles in the dark forests of Transylvania? Yes, the Communists did it, his gut tells him. No evidence of that, yes, but no one else would have the twisted psyche to murder people in such a sadistic fashion. And if not the Communists, why would the Hungarian intelligence service send him coded telegrams requesting that he report back on their activities? Do they know something they're not telling him? Is he being used by his superiors? Preposterous. He's here to hunt down those Communists. Yes, the Communists...their guilt is undeniable.

    Name: Ingo
    Character Name: Matthew 'Gar' Garnett
Occupation: Captain, Durham Light Infantry 1st btn BCoy (Shanghai).
    Nationality: British (North Yorkshire)
Brief Character History: Son of Landowner James Garnett his experience of early life was fairly sheltered, an adolescence spent in adventures such as treasure island and 'the lion of kabul'. Then the call of war. A skylarking young lad turned like so many of his brothers in arms into a skinny frame in ill fitting wool trousers. The gentle ministry of Warrant Officers in red banded caps and the droning of senior men in lecture halls. The mystery of women in revealed in Aldershot Town, then quickly a distant memory, replaced by the shelling and dirt of Cologne. Now Between wars, a hollow man, half stirred by the wondering of the demob from france, overwhelmed by new faces and whispers of china. Deciding to take a leave of abscence, a luxry afforded to some junior officers during demobilization, his whims have taken him as far from embattled europe as his back pay can take him. To the colonies, a place away from misery.
    Away from madness...

    Name: Exxy
    Character Name: James "Jacky" Quinthorn
    Occupation: Musician
    Nationality: Canadian (Quebec area)

    Brief Character History:
James was the second child of Sarah and Billy Quinthorn, a poor couple living in the slums in the outskirts of Quebec. His early life experiences roughed him up quite good as a kid. Around him was poverty and constant begging to get by. Really early on James found his love for music and arts. When he was not with his family, begging for money or food, he spent his time with the local musician "Big Picky". Big Picky was a very skilled guitar player, getting his name for his size and his amazing musical skills with the guitar. James adored Big Picky and could spend hours watching him play his guitar.

When James hit his teens, Big Picky passed away after a really rough winter. Upon his death Big Picky gave his guitar to James. He was willing to protect the guitar with his life, and had to fight people to not steal it for firewood. He devoted his life to music and used it to earn money for food for his family.

At age 17, James tagged along with a few other boys his age, hitchhiking on a train from the Quebec area of Canada to New York City. He is still a very poor boy, but has gotten by through his passion, music.

Bit unsure on if this is detailed enough, but I hope it will suffice, otherwise I'll give it another try :] (To be fair, only done Medival and a very poorly done Star Wars based pen and paper roleplay :p)

    Name: Redline
    Character Name: Tasya Pavlova
    Occupation: Drifter/Author
    Nationality: Russian

    Brief Character History:
Born to a revered Russian ballerina, Tasya was believed to be her mother's dancing skill and spirit reborn. This view was exacerbated by the fact that she was born only a short while before her mother's death.

She spent the rest of her childhood with her father. Being raised in central Russia and within a poor home, violence among family members was a frequent occurrence. Her school life was not much of an improvement. To escape the reality of her life, she resorted to her imagination to create a better one.

At the age of seventeen, Tasya left her home behind, taking nothing but stacks of paper, some money and writing utensils. She began to write everything down, becoming an author that has yet to be published. She is now twenty-three and in New York (reason unknown).

But her vision has made her unstable. Creating and living within an imaginary world has caused her to lose her grip on reality. She travels the world, still writing such works of artistry and yet, still so detached from everything she experiences.

"There is no great genius without some touch of madness."

Whether she is brilliant or simply insane remains to be seen...

    Name: ephie
    Character Name: Declan Murphy
    Occupation: Police Detective
    Nationality: Irish
Brief Character History: Working as an undercover cop since 1920 when prohibition first started. Declan's family brought him over to America in 1910 when he was just ten years old, as they sought a better life. Growing up in Boston wasn't easy but luckily he was mentored by a retired cop turned teacher. Becoming a cop at 18, he rapidly moved up the chain, recording a ninety percent conviction rate during his first two years before volunteering for the dangerous task of infiltrating the Irish mobs of Boston.

Declan, picture against the post, watching Prohibition officers destroying illegal alcohol.
Eventually one of the mob bosses, one Freddie Donnell, caught on to him, and offered him a deal in exchange for his life. In the summer of '24, Declan started blowing the whistle on the Donnell's potential competitors, whilst coincidentally Declan's lieutenant ordered him to get as close to Donnell as he could. (To be Donnell's dirty cop.) Eventually the underworld caught up to Declan, with 1925 finding him at rock bottom after spiraling out on a mixture of drugs and prohibition alcohol.

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?

    Name: Griggle990
    Character Name: Robert Smith
    Occupation: Engineer
    Nationality: British
Brief Character History: Born in a long line of gun smiths that date back to the late middle ages, Robert always had a talent in modifying firearms. His father who worked in research and development at Springfield Armory was fired because of peacetime after the great war. This means that Robert was unable to work for his father so in 1920 he started his own gun store. But since he had a talent in modifying firearms, he also took special requests to personalize people's weapons. He sold to both police and gangsters alike and for a while business was booming. But by 1924 a powerful gang started making threats to Robert because they didn't like the way he did business with both the cops and rival gangs. But this was nothing new for him because he gets theses thing all the time. But this time was different.

One day as he was polishing a M1911 pistol a car stopped right in front of his store. As soon as he saw the windows roll down he immediately ducked under the counter just in time before a man fired a thompson machine gun at the store. He heard glass shattering as his windows were blown apart, and then heard tons of bullets wized past his head and the thick wood desk he was hiding behind. When the sooting stopped, Robert took a thompson from under the counter and stood up to find the car drove off. From then on he realized that he cannot function out in the open. So he went underground and started to do business in empty streets and dark alleys. He felt much safer that way because he never did business at the same place twice which made him a harder target.
