Yeah, when it is night time, it isn't safe. I will try to make a lot of torches to light a path to my base.

It has BASIC graphics, but the crafting and mining is HIGHLY addictive. I can't believe how much time has passed since I started.

Agreed, I don't see the point in the multiplayer without monsters. I assumed I'd just be trying to build a base in a group to try and take shelter from the monsters.

Build a spawn house, as well. Have it have a palisade so people can spawn with a ton of torches near by. I'll jump in and help. :3

Ok, so after 5 hours of playing this game. I love it! Funny, quirky and addictive.
Amazed at how long I spent just starring at the screen to collect and build things. LOL

It is Beta today. 
This is an awesome, awesome adventure to watch the development this closely and see everything. Everytime I start to play something else Minecraft drags me back in with new additions.

The patch broke the server. On the forums, people are having a hard time staying connected for more than a few seconds. A fix isn't scheduled till sometime tomorrow. We hope...

I noticed that you were able to stay logged in. However, after restarting the server, appears you can't stay logged in.
For me, I can't stay logged in regardless. People on the minecraft forums are becoming hostile.
