Does anyone else ever give a post "props" or "like" a post besides me?

Re: Props
Yes. Generally only if the post is informative or well-written, helpful or just REALLY funny.
We just try not to overdo it.

Re: Props
I've handed out one or two props.
Though I usually try to keep it to the discussions and such. Deep and well thought out statements.
Though that's because other forums I have been with (and some I am still on) actually have some stricter rules against what is Props/Rep worthy and what is not.

Re: Props
We probably shouldn't be setting too many rules down at this point as it's a potential push away from the Mob. If we ever have it become where it's an issue, there probably could be.Tator Tot wrote:Though that's because other forums I have been with (and some I am still on) actually have some stricter rules against what is Props/Rep worthy and what is not.
I prop good topics and posts, and give thanks if someones helpful in a thread. Just like everyone else it seems...

Re: Props
Yah I also give props to posts in an intelligent and informative way. Like this one for example.

Re: Props
Until further notice, we've removed the props feature. It seems people are giving or taking props purely based on whether or not they agree with/like a post rather than if it is a well written one.
The idea was to encourage debate, respect, and enthusiasm. It's not to discourage topics that will spark discussions or give reputation because the poster linked to a funny video or article.
We may implement it again once the community grows.
