    Skill Points and You

Post by Kromel on Wed Dec 08, 2010 7:41 pm

I've mentioned skill points throughout the site, but they are wrong. Go by THIS guide.

Differences between Occupational Skills and Hobby Skills

The skills that are highlighted in orange on your character sheet are your "Occupational Skills".

The rest of the skills that are NOT highlighted are considered "Hobby Skills". Okay, you have Occupational Skills and Hobby Skills. Got it? Good.

Now that you have your Attributes set, now it's time to calculate your Skill Points, that way you can be the better you.

First, we are going to calculate Occupational Skill Points. To do this, you multiply your EDU score by 20.

    Example:

Declan's EDU is 19, to get our Occupational Skill Points, we multiply 19 by 20 (19x20=380). Declan will have a total of 380 Occupational Points to spend on his ORANGE-Highlighted skills. Keep in mind that no skill can go above 75% before the start of the very first game.

For the Hobby skills, Declan will multiply his INT (20)by 10. 20*10=200. Declan will have 200 points he can spend on the non-orange highlighted skills. Keep in mind that no skill can go over 75%.

You earn more skill points as you play the game, at that time, you can advance skills over 75% with none going over 99% at ANY TIME.

ATTENTION: YOU CANNOT PUT ANY POINTS IN CTHULHU MYTHOS AT ANY TIME! CTHULHU MYTHOS POINTS ARE SPECIAL POINTS EARNED IN GAME!
