I went on for half a sec and nearly died. I instantly ragequit and decided that I need to wait for daytime.

Yeah, when it is night time, it isn't safe. I will try to make a lot of torches to light a path to my base.

Agreed, I don't see the point in the multiplayer without monsters. I assumed I'd just be trying to build a base in a group to try and take shelter from the monsters.

Build a spawn house, as well. Have it have a palisade so people can spawn with a ton of torches near by. I'll jump in and help. :3

Ok, so after 5 hours of playing this game. I love it! Funny, quirky and addictive.
Amazed at how long I spent just starring at the screen to collect and build things. LOL
U all should try it once!

It is Beta today. 
This is an awesome, awesome adventure to watch the development this closely and see everything. Everytime I start to play something else Minecraft drags me back in with new additions.

The patch broke the server. On the forums, people are having a hard time staying connected for more than a few seconds. A fix isn't scheduled till sometime tomorrow. We hope...

I noticed that you were able to stay logged in. However, after restarting the server, appears you can't stay logged in.
For me, I can't stay logged in regardless. People on the minecraft forums are becoming hostile.

Temporarily down. He crashed his PC, should be back up tonight. We are looking to get a dedicated server, hang on for that, I am in the processing of testing.

No problem mate... Testing has not gone well since all my servers are in raid setups. This game does not seem to like them and it pushes so much data and then there is the auto backups. So it ends up slowing down the servers I have from Virtual to some of my dedicated.
So, I think I am just going to get a dedicated game and get up to like 10 players, that should be a good start I would think?
Anyhone have any comments or feedback on this?

I have installed a new dedicated server for playing up to 10 users.
ADMINS:

1. Don't be a thief! Respect others work!
2. Build a place of your own, or share with someone.
3. When you do build your own, make sure you post that it is yours all over the mountain and/or castle.
4. Have FUN!

It is best to run the downloadable client, only play off their page when you have too. The client will allow for full screen for starters and seem to be a bit faster.
If you use something like Xfire, if you want people to see if your playing, then for now, you will have to go to the main web page http://www.minecraft.com and then to play the game, download the client and start playing. (hopefully Xfire will fix that)
